Construction began Monday on the 15th Street SE culvert project.

The project that will replace the existing storm pipe and install three culvert pipes. The three 36-inch pipes will be installed to include concrete headwalls and rip-rap rock on the downstream section in the arroyo between Viga Road and 14th Street on 15th.

The project schedule is expected to run through March 2023 and is being done by Altor Construction for a cost of over $200,000.

While project work is taking place, closures and detours will be in place.
