Stacia Winters is one of the latest graduates from Leadership New Mexico Connect Program.

Winters is the director of events at Rio Rancho Events Center and was among 90 statewide leaders who recently completed the program.

Leadership New Mexico launched in 1995 to identify current and emerging leaders throughout New Mexico, enhance their leadership skills and deepen their understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing the state. It is a five-month commitment with each session focusing on leadership skills development and statewide operations of a variety of structures and systems.

The Connect program include topics such as health and human services, economic development, education, environment and natural resources, government, and crime and justice issues. Sessions are held six times per year at various locations around the state.
