The Wild Hearts Gallery in Placitas will display its July featured artist Exhibit, “Judith Roderick: The Butterfly,” from June 27 through July 30.

“For this show, I felt inspired to look at What’s Right, instead of What’s Wrong; to depict hope, beauty, opportunity and possibility,” Roderick wrote in a press release.

Roderick is a silk painter and quilter whose work has been shown locally and in national juried shows. Her new exhibit of hand-painted art quilts depicts the butterfly as a symbol for humanity.

“May my art be an inspiration and a blessing,” Roderick wrote.

The reception will take place at the gallery at 1 p.m. July 15 and will follow COVID-19 safety recommendations.

The Wild Hearts Gallery is an artists’ collective, supported by 16 local artists. For more information and a visual tour of the gallery, visit wildheartsgallery.com.
