Good news for fans of spicy ketchup: Another Whataburger location has opened in Rio Rancho.

The restaurant at 2151 Unser Blvd. SE is the 12th location in New Mexico and second in the City of Vision. It will serve up customized burgers in a forward-thinking designed building that features an open-concept dining room, double drive-thru lanes and custom wall art highlighting area landmarks.

The dining room is not yet open, but 24/7 drive-thru service is available. Whatburger will roll out additional service options, including dining room access, ordering via the Whataburger App and Whataburger.com, curbside and delivery in the coming weeks.

Following full-service availability, Whataburger will celebrate its grand opening by welcoming guests inside to be served by 60 local employees led by Operating Partner Juan Mendoza.

“We are so appreciative of the warm welcome we have received from the community and encourage locals to pay a visit to their new hometown restaurant for our extensive menu of bold flavors,” Mendoza said. “For those that have never tried Whataburger before, we suggest starting with the number-one namesake burger. It’s prepared on a large, 5-inch bun with a fresh 100% beef patty, with tomato, lettuce, pickles, diced onions and mustard. Of course, all menu items can be made to order, just like you like it.”
