Tommy Grier, about 47, of Rio Rancho, was arrested in the 400 block of Las Marias Drive for possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and trafficking drugs by possession with intent to distribute on Sept. 4.

At 9:13 a.m., officers with the Special Services Unit were searching for Grier, who had an active warrant for his arrest, and received a report he may be at the residence. Several individuals in front of the residence confirmed Grier was inside.

When officers entered, Grier was seen sitting at the kitchen table holding what appeared to be a pipe. A piece of foil with a blue pill was on the kitchen table directly in front of him. Grier was placed into custody and was escorted out of the residence. Also on the kitchen table directly in front of him were two bags containing 115 blue pills thought to be fentanyl, 8.25 grams of a crystal-like substance thought to be meth, burned foil, pipes and baggies with residue.

The substances collected were sent to a lab for testing.

If convicted, Grier could face more than nine years in prison.
