The parking lot at Community of Joy Lutheran Church was nearly full and voting seemed to be pretty heavy around 3 p.m. Tuesday.

The church, one of Sandoval County’s election sites, sits off of Northern Blvd.

Voting was going off without any complications, as residents entered the church to cast their votes for a slew of Sandoval County candidates, and New Mexico governor.

The polls close at 7 p.m., but results could take hours if returns follow their usual path.
