I have lived here 45 years.

I was told that when the Southern Boulevard business area was first platted out, it was supposed to have a frontage road along its entire length so the traffic on Southern could move freely and not have people constantly turning into businesses … don’t know why that didn’t happen.

As with Stripes Burrito Co., there is a similar problem with people going east on Southern, wanting to turn into the Chick-fil-A access way.

Building the new Stripes up on Unser is nice for the business owner, but it takes the jobs and revenue out of Rio Rancho.

I hope the city can quickly find a solution.
