Walmart disturbance resolved peacefully

A mental-health crisis led to a disturbance Dec. 5 at the Walmart Super Center, but it was resolved peacefully.

A woman in crisis was threatening to commit suicide with a blade, said Rio Rancho Police Capt. Joel Holt. Officers shut down the door she was near, but customers continued to use the other set of doors.

Holt said police persuaded her not to hurt herself and took her into custody without further incident.
