The Rio Rancho Players Community Theatre Group is engaged in rehearsals for its second production of the theatre season, readying Matthew Carlin’s “A Little Piece of Heaven” for a three-weekend February run.

Tickets go on sale online Jan. 7 at rr-cc.org/buy-tickets and at the Players satellite box office at Pet Food Gone Wild, 2415 Southern Blvd. in Rio Rancho. They’re also available up to an hour prior to each performance at the theater box office.

“A Little Piece of Heaven” is an off-Broadway hit for all ages. The “fantasy” play focuses on the concept of how a variety of individuals find long-lost treasures in a curiosity shop operated by two very special and very different characters.

“Heaven” originally opened in Texas in 2007 and was such a huge success that it found its way to an off-Broadway theater where it was an overwhelming success.

The play opens Feb. 11. There will be six evening performances at 7:30 p.m. and three matinees at 2 p.m.

The play will be held in the black box theater at the Avix Art, at 4311 Sara Road.

Parking is free, and refreshments can be purchased before and during intermissions of the performance. For more information, contact Mel Sussman @ [email protected] or 970-381-1944.
