A little over a year after Zane Skinner, 19, initially shot his father on Dec. 9, 2022, and waited 24 hours to call 911, he is going to trial on Feb. 5, 2024.
Skinner is being held until the trial.
Any plea agreements are to be hashed out on Skinner’s last docket call on Jan. 18, 2024.
First-degree murder is a capital crime. If Skinner is convicted, he will serve life imprisonment and have to pay $17,500. The possibility parole eligibility after 30 years will be determined in the trial if he is convicted.
