“Sunday is Funday is a great opportunity to visit with neighbors at this favorite charity event,” said Mayor Gregg Hull in a letter to community members.

Booth fees start at $125 for one space paid for by July 25, and kickball teams enter the tournament for $250, which includes T-shirts for eight members. Admission at the event is $1 for adults who aren’t working at a booth and free for children.

The Rio Rancho Kiwanis Club, which organizes the event, is also looking for sponsors, with sponsorship packages ranging from $3,000 to $100.

The event includes live entertainment, food, vendor booths, a raffle and various activities. This year, the theme is “Go Green Rio Rancho.”

Sunday is Funday drew in more than 6,000 people last year.
