Albuquerque – The newest addition to the New Mexico State Fair’s beverage pantheon is a Strawberry Lemonade with Vodka produced by Santa Fe-based Tumbleroot Brewery & Distillery. This is the second year the local distillery has partnered with the fair to offer fair goers a locally produced beverage.

Fair officials expect the drink to be an alcoholic highlight.

The drink “ is sure to be one of our most popular tate fair beverages to date,” stated State Fair general manager Dan Mourning. “The release of the annual state fair beverage has become our unofficial kick off to the state fair season and Tumbleroot’s Strawberry Lemonade with Vodka will be a welcomed refreshment from those hot, end-of-summer days at the fair.”

The year’s cocktail takes the quintessential state fair staple, fresh lemonade, and blends it with sweet summer strawberries and Tumbleroot’s smooth Cane Vodka. The result is a ready-to-drink cocktail perfect for enjoying while taking a break from the heat at the fair.

“We combined nostalgic summertime flavors with New Mexico produced spirits for a truly thirst-quenching cocktail,” said Tumbleroot owner and director of business operations, Jason Fitzpatrick.
