Jacqueline Villaescusa has been named the executive director of Storehouse West.
She takes up the post that was held by Jennifer Payne, who died in August 2022. She began her journey with the organization as a volunteer, which motivated her to apply for the director position. “Volunteering at Storehouse West was a wonderful experience; the organization’s mission is what intrigued me to stay,” Villaescusa said. “I’m delighted to be our new executive director and look forward to continuing our mission to reduce food insecurity in Sandoval County.”
Prior to her time with Storehouse West, Vallaescusa has more than a decade of volunteerism as well as a assion for marketing. Her volunteer experience includes fundraising, toy drives and food donations. She is also fluent in Spanish.
Storehouse West is a food pantry and children’s closet in Rio Rancho and serves clients in Sandoval County via the Temporary Food Service Assistance Program.
“We are delighted to have Jacqueline as our new executive director,” said Kathy Westmoreland, Storehouse West Board of Directors chairperson. “She brings an energy and passion for our mission of serving our neighbors in Sandoval County. She also has a wide variety of professional experience as well as volunteer work with nonprofits. The board looks forward to working with Jacqueline in strengthening and growing the work of Storehouse West.”
