Multiple New Mexico State Police units were involved in handling a traffic stop on NM 528 near the AMREP building that caused a traffic jam during the evening rush hour Thursday in Rio Rancho.

The scene was cleared shortly before 6 p.m., and traffic flow returned to normal.
