The New Mexico Economic Development Department launched an online platform, called the Business Finance Finder, earlier this month to help business owners connect with financial institutions that can fund their projects.
According to a June 16 press release from the EDD’s website, the Business Finance Finder allows business owners to upload basic information about a project to be matched with local lenders or other financial organizations, and business owners can conduct direct searches for lenders.
“In order to have a healthy ecosystem for our businesses to thrive, we need a level playing field to access capital. This tool can help make important connections so New Mexican business owners can focus on running and growing their businesses,” Economic Development Cabinet Secretary Alicia J. Keyes said in the release.
The Business Finance Finder was funded through an Economic Development Administration CARES Act grant. The funds are designed to help the EDD mitigate barriers and increase access to capital for businesses.
