Explore a galaxy far, far away at Rio Rancho’s Loma Colorado Library next month.

Star Wars Fest 9 will take over the library from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 15.

A variety of activities will be available for participants of all ages at no cost. The community will be able to have their picture taken with characters from the Star Wars universe, including the 501st and Rebel Legions, enjoy drinks and cookies at the Cantina, view a display of Star Wars Legos, and adopt a Baby Yoda from the Baby Yoda Adoption Center.

More interactive activities include making pool noodle light sabers and learning martial arts moves, creating a droid at the Droid Factory, and hourly raffles for Star-Wars themed prizes throughout the event.

Magic Mirror Photobooth NM, the Giovanni String Quartet and QueLab will also be on hand.
