Associates from communications provider Sparklight recently granted holiday wishes for Storehouse West in Rio Rancho.

In conjunction with an organization-wide campaign, the Sparklight team donated more than 500 pounds of food and $1,000 worth of new clothing to assist the nonprofit in providing for growing community needs.

The annual campaign raises donations for charitable organizations located in areas served by Sparklight and the Cable One family of brands (Fidelity Communications, Hargray, ValuNet and Cable America).

Storehouse West is one of the dozens of nonprofit organizations supported by Sparklight this year.

“Storehouse West is incredibly grateful to Sparklight and their employees who participated in their annual food drive,” said Deborah Bock, director of food at Storehouse West. “At Storehouse West, we serve more than 350 families each month and donations like Sparklight’s make it possible for us to provide those households with a variety of healthy foods. Because of the generous support of community partners like Sparklight, Storehouse West is able to continue to fight food insecurity in Sandoval County.”

The company’s annual campaign resulted in donations of more than 10,000 pounds of food to assist food banks in the areas it serves.

Cable One President and CEO Julie Laulis said the company is committed to helping alleviate hunger in the 24 states Cable One serves through its annual food drive.

“Local food banks are fulfilling the critical need of feeding at-risk community members who might otherwise go hungry due to the challenging economic environment,” Laulis said. “We are proud to support their mission through donations that will help provide immediate aid to individuals and families in need.”

Since 2018, Sparklight and the Cable One family of brands have donated more than 51 tons of food and more than $500,000 to address food insecurity.
