This weekend looks to be a wet one with chances of snow and rain but will clear up by Sunday.
Albuquerque National Weather Service says, “The combo of heavy snow & blowing snow could cause major impacts across NE NM late this afternoon thru Saturday morning.”
So restrict travel today and tomorrow if traveling to northern parts of the state.
Rio Rancho could get a light dusting but that will be it.
Today
There is a slight chance of rain and snow showers before 2 pm, then scattered rain showers between 2 pm and 5 pm, then scattered rain and snow showers after 5 pm and finally snow showers after 8 pm. It will be mostly cloudy, with a high near 42 and a low around 24. East wind 10 to 15 mph becoming west in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 40%. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
Saturday
It will be mostly sunny, with a high near 39 and a low around 19. Northwest wind 10 to 15 mph.
Sunday
Increasing clouds, with a high near 39 and a low around 22. Northwest wind around 5 mph becoming southwest in the afternoon.
