The Rio Rancho version of Oktoberfest, a local standard that was interrupted by the pandemic, made a triumphant return Saturday.

The parking lot at Country Blue Plaza Shopping Center, 3100 Southern Blvd. SE, was full and vendors lined the way to the main tent, where plenty of beer was served.

A few people got into the spirit and wore Lederhosen. And the band Roadrunner Brass set a traditional beat.

Jerry Schalow, Rio Rancho Regional Chamber of Commere CEO, welcomed everyone to the festival.

And Brew Lab 101 Beer & Cider Co. owner Scott Salvas, dressed for the occasion and toasted the festival from his vendor table.
