RR Mayor Gregg Hull spoke at the ground breaking ceremony in Mariposa of the new Richmond American Homes project

Rio Rancho Mayor Gregg Hull is expected to make an appearance at this year’s Mariposa Harvest Fair.

This is the second annual fair, set for Sat., Aug. 27, from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Mariposa Community Park in Mariposa, Rio Rancho at  2501 Parkway Avenue.

There will be food trucks, live music, more than 60 vendors, arts and crafts, a children’s booth. jewelry, yard art and woodworkers among vendors.

The silent auction is sponsored by the Artists of Mariposa.

There also will be a free $50 raffle drawing every hour.

The event is hosted by the Mariposa Lifestyle Committee and the Mariposa Homeowners Association.

Mariposa’s community center cafe, Bree’s, Cool Beans,  will also be open.

The event and parking is free.  Restrooms are available in the community center.
