Plan for a week of fun starting Aug. 3, when the Sandoval County Fair kicks off this year.
The fair, which is in Cuba at 37 Rodeo Rd., includes indoor exhibits, livestock shows, rodeo, a Pow-Wow, parade, concession and vendors.
Things kick off on Aug. 1, with 4-H Indoor Exhibit Check-in for all exhibits and baked goods.
On Tuesday, at 9 a.m. open indoor exhibit judging takes place and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., is RV daily check in.
Things really get under way Aug. 3.
That day there will be small animal and livestock check-in, and sign-up for open gymkhana.
Then on the 4th, at 5 p.m., there is the Rode Grand Entry followed by 4-D Barrel Race, mutton busting, steer riding and bull riding.
Friday is Senior Day and Saturday is Uniform Day.
General admission is:
- $10 per Adult
- $5 per Child/Seniors 65+
- Children under 5 years FREE
- Uniform Day FREE with ID
- Senior Day FREE with ID
For family passes:
- $65 Family Unlimited Pass
- 6 wristbands will be given for all week entry.
- $25 Individual Unlimited Pass
- 1 wristband will be given for all week entry.
