ALBUQUERQUE – Sandia Resort & Casino has announced the appointment of Travis Garlick as chief operating officer.

A 26-year industry veteran in Native American gaming, Garlick is transitioning from the Colorado casino market. Over his career, he has served in an executive capacity for both casino and resort operations.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in business with accredited certifications in hospitality administration management.

In addition, he holds a certification in sports wagering and integrity from the University of New Hampshire’s Pierce School of Law and in gaming leadership from the Oklahoma University Spears School of Business. He also received the Colorado Concierge designation from the Colorado Tourism Office.

Relocating from Aztec in northern New Mexico, Garlick said, “I am excited to finally work and live in New Mexico full-time and look forward to working alongside a committed team to further Sandia Resort & Casino’s market leadership and deliver first-class customer experience.”
