Rust Movie Productions has reached a settlement with the Halyna Hutchins estate, which has opened the door for production of the Alec Baldwin movie “Rust,” to continue.

According to an Instagram post by Baldwin Oct. 5, the filming will resume in January, 2023.

The movie will be executive produced by Matthew Hutchins, the husband of Halyna Hutchins, who was shot and killed on the “Rust” set by a gun handled by Baldwin.

Other lawsuits are outstanding. Baldwin was not charged in the shooting. The shooting was determined to be accidental by the New Mexico Office of the Medical Investigator.

In a statement, Matthew Hutchins said: “We have reached a settlement, subject to court approval, for our wrongful death case against the producers of “Rust” including Alec Baldwin.”

“Rust” film site is Bonanza Creek Ranch in New Mexico.
