RRPS to hold Parent U session focused on attendance

Rio Rancho Public Schools will hold its first Parent U session of the 2023-24 on Aug. 16.

The session will run from noon to 1 p.m. and review this year’s district-wide attendance plan.

RRPS has set a goal to reduce chronic absenteeism in the district by 20% this year. The Attendance Plan was created to help administration, teachers, students and parents accomplish this goal. During the session, district officials will break down the plan and explain what the staff is doing and what parents can do to help lower chronic absenteeism in the district this year.
