A 61-year-old woman was arrested after she allegedly threatened another woman with a knife and then almost hit a man with her car.

The Rio Rancho Police Department responded to a report that Sandra Jury had threatened and harassed a couple on June 13.

The man told officers that Jury had driven her vehicle into his driveway when she began honking her horn. When he went outside, she drove the vehicle toward him, almost hitting him, according to a criminal complaint.

After a woman came out, Jury “brandished” a folding knife and held it against the woman’s face “in a malicious manner as to threaten her with great bodily harm,” the complaint states.

Jury later admitted to officers that she had a knife in her hand when she confronted the woman.

The suspect was arrested and taken to the Sandoval County Detention Center without incident.

Jury is accused of two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a fourth-degree felony.

She gave no plea at her initial appearance Wednesday.

If convicted, Jury could face up to 3 years in prison and pay a $10,000 fine.
