Citing personal circumstances, Rio Rancho City Manager David Campbell has submitted his resignation, effective today (March 4).

Campbell began his tenure with the City of Rio Rancho on July 1. Mayor Gregg Hull has accepted the resignation.
Hull and City Councilor Bob Tyler are recommending the appointment of Deputy City Manager Peter Wells as acting city manager. Pursuant to city charter provisions, the governing body will consider Wells’ appointment at its March 11 regular meeting.
Following the appointment of the acting city manager, the city will begin the recruitment, selection and hiring process for a new city manager.
