The Rio Rancho Astronomical Society will hold its monthly General Meeting on Friday, July 1, starting at 7:30 PM.

The meeting will be at Rainbow Park Observatory, at 301 Southern Blvd. in Rio Rancho (on the north side of the pool).

A presentation by Dr. Colston Chandler titled “The Dynamical Theory of the Electromagnetic Field” will discuss the history, physical properties and practical uses of these waves.

Chandler holds a Ph.D. in mathematics and physics. He is a published author and a professor emeritus of physics at UNM, where he taught for 36 years.
Both the meeting and presentation are free and open to the public.

A stargaze at the observatory will follow the meeting, weather permitting.
