Gabe Pacheco, a Rio Rancho business owner, was named in the Business Elite’s award “Top 40 under 40,” a national award that recognizes successful executives and entrepreneurs with a particular commitment to innovation in business.
“I was very honored and excited,” Pacheco said. “I didn’t even know I was nominated, so that was really, really nice.”
The award gives special attention to the leader’s ability to inspire others and give back to the community. The annual award, given by Business Elite Awards, was held in an official ceremony at the Bellagio in Las Vegas, Nevada, on March 1.
“They wined and dined us really well,” Pacheco said. “Especially at the Bellagio.”
Business Elite’s “40 Under 40” is designed to identify outstanding young executives and entrepreneurs in the business world and create networking opportunities for aspiring young business leaders. The Business Elite Awards celebrate the highest-achieving young leaders who “embody a spirit of innovation, determination, potential, creativity and enthusiasm.”
According to Business Elite, Pacheco is a “serial serial entrepreneur.” He owns of G&M Medical Center and MedSpa, G&M Urgent Care, G&M Radiant Botanicals Skin Care, and G&M Travel – Dream Vacations, all of which are are certified by The National LGBT Chamber of Commerce.
Pacheco, who has lived in Rio Rancho for six years, also serves on several boards in his community. He is the president of the New Mexico Out Business Alliance – the New Mexico LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce. Pacheco volunteers his time with Big Brothers Big Sisters and also cycles annually to raise funds for Children’s Cancer Research. In addition to his volunteer work, a portion of his business’ retail sales are placed into the G&M Cares Fund. This fund is distributed to the local community and school events.
“I try to find time whenever I can,” Pacheco said. “I like the Rio Rancho area and I like to see it grown and help it grow.”
