ART NM! An Arts and Culture Day is a community celebration of the arts and culture, presented by New Mexico’s arts advocacy organization, Creative New Mexico, and hosted by Rio Rancho Creative Crossroads and Rio Rancho Arts Association.
The event in Rio Rancho will include art displays and demonstrations by local artists: Bert and Kay Grant, Yolanda and John Jones, Kandy Glaser and Cindy and Joe McDonnell; local arts organizations: Rio Rancho Youth Chorus, Rio Rancho Players, Squeaky Shoe Project, Visionary Arts & Craft Guild, Music in Corrales, etc., a children’s activity, and more. Meet both local winners of Creative NM post contest.
ART NM! is a family-friendly event occurring in eight communities across the state in April. Individuals can make art; engage in the visual arts, music, and theater; and learn about the diverse creative resources that are available in each community. Funding for ART NM! comes, in part, from a grant through New Mexico Arts, a division of the New Mexico Department of Cultural Affairs.
ART NM! is also taking place in Artesia, Farmington, Gallup, Hobbs, Las Cruces, Roswell and Taos.
