The Rio Rancho High School baseball team, coming off four wins in five games in El Paso over the weekend, entertains Manzano Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. in their home opener.
In those four victories, the Rams’ pitching staff held its El Paso opponents to two or fewer runs.
The Rams opened with a 10-1 victory over Horizon, followed by a 10-0 shutout of Pebble Hills. After a 6-3 loss to Americas, the Rams ran off wins of 14-2 over Eastlake and 9-0 over Coronado.
The Monarchs (1-1) opened with a 14-4 victory over visiting Atrisco Heritage Academy on Feb. 23, then dropped a 10-4 contest to Valley three days later.
The Rams also have a game Thursday, when they’ll be at Rio Grande for a 6 p.m. start.
