The Rio Rancho Astronomical Society (RRAS) will host its regular monthly meeting on Friday, June 23rd at Rainbow Park Observatory at 301 Southern Blvd. in Rio Rancho.

“Steve Snider will be presenting the use of the Evening Sky Map and discuss some of the celestial objects that will be visible in the June night sky,” reads a release from RRAS.

This will be followed by a session in the outdoor planetarium using a laser pointer to pick out these objects and the observatory telescopes for a closer view, weather permitting.

The meeting begins at 7:30 pm and is free and open to the public. Telescopes will be available for public stargazing after the meeting.
