Listen to the weather

Today is still rainy but it will only be a light drizzle for most of the day.

Albuquerque National Weather Service says, “It will still be cloudy with chances for showers & afternoon thunderstorms but not as wet as the past two days.”

Today rain was just light enough for Balloons to reach the skies. With only three more days of the Fiesta, it is a concern that most will miss out on the Land of Enchantment’s largest art display because of this rain.

According to the Balloon Fiesta website, the fiesta has it’s own meteorologist who gives either the green, standby, or red flag to let Balloonists know if they should take off. Since the rain hasn’t been too intense, takeoff is not a problem (except for yesterday).

Today’s Forecast:
There’s a chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after noon. It will be cloudy, with a high near 68 and a low around 50. There’s a northeast wind around 10 mph becoming southeast in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Have a good Thursday!
