Red Flag Warning for Rio Grande Valley

The Albuquerque National Weather Service issued a Red Flag Warning for much of the Rio Grande Valley which includes parts of Rio Rancho.
The warning is a fire weather warning in effect from 11 am to 6 pm.
Due to the dry nature of the weather today, people should advise the appropriate officials or fire crews in the field of this Red Flag Warning.
Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
It will be sunny, with a high near 56 and a low around 28. It could be very breezy, with a west wind 10 to 15 mph increasing to 20 to 25 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 35 mph.
