Cleveland High’s Ava Schlosser had the best finish for any Rio Rancho girl competing at last weekend’s APS Metro Swimming & Diving Championships at the West Mesa Aquatic Center.
Schlosser won the 50-freestyle with a time of 25.74 seconds.
Eldorado, with a score of 521 points, was the winning team, followed by Albuquerque High (340), La Cueva (331), Rio Rancho (298) and Cleveland (234) in the 13-team meet.
The boys’ version of the APS event was held yesterday, Jan. 22.
