Following his team’s 13-0 loss at La Cueva Tuesday afternoon, Rio Rancho High School softball coach Paul Kohman (center) spent close to 15 minutes chatting with his team, which is still atop District 1-5A heading into the second half of the district season today (Wednesday) at 4 p.m., when Volcano Vista visits the Eagle Ridge softball complex to make up a game postponed by hellacious winds on  April 12.  The Rams (14-7, 4-0) seemed ready to score in their first at-bats at La Cueva, loading the bases with just one out, but Kionna King hit into a double play to end the threat. The Rams managed only four singles the rest of the way and never advanced a runner as far as second base. The Rams have another key district game Friday at 4 at Cibola High.
