Listen to the weather
This weekend starts out rainy and then trickles off more towards Sunday.
Storms are moving from west to east today, though. And it already looks like it will be the most intense today.
“Hit-and-miss storms will again develop by early afternoon with the greatest chances favoring northern NM as a weak disturbance tracks across area,” Albuquerque National Weather Service Meteorologist Daniel Porter said.
This weekend will be a great time to go have a picnic. Sandwiches, chips, and drinks are essential. Oh and family of course… And it can be anywhere. I personally have chosen Capulin Springs up on Sandia Mountain, but RR has plenty of parks and nature walks that work well for this. In these busy times it is important to remember to take a break and enjoy the little things.
Here is the weekend look ahead:
There is a large chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms, mainly after noon and before midnight. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. It will be mostly cloudy, with a high near 86 and a low around 63. Chance of precipitation is 50%.
It will be mostly sunny until tonight when isolated showers and thunderstorms are possible before midnight. Partly cloudy, with a high near 87 and a low around 63. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Sunny, with a high near 89 and a low around 62.
