The Albuquerque National Weather Service announced a hazardous winds advisory for the Rio Grande Valley.

Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs may be blown down. Expect strong crosswinds on area roadways.

“Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution. Secure outdoor objects,” the service says.

Rain and snow showers are likely before noon, then a chance of rain showers. It will be mostly cloudy, with a high near 47 and a low around 24. There is a west wind 10 to 15 mph becoming northwest 15 to 20 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 60%.  Winds could gust as high as 30 mph.
