Albuquerque National Weather Service says, “Snow levels will vary considerably, but significant accumulations will tend to favor areas above 8000 ft. A few t-storms will also be possible & high temperatures will be well below normal.”
The snow doesn’t stop there. It will continue over the weekend and on Monday.

There is a 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms. Rain showers are likely before midnight, then a chance of rain and snow showers between midnight and 3am, then a chance of snow showers after 3am. It will be mostly cloudy, with a high near 56 and a low around 29. Southwest wind 10 to 15 mph becoming northwest in the afternoon. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
