The Rio Rancho Observer will be changing the date it publishes from Sunday to Thursday, starting in October.
The change will take effect with the last Sunday publication being printed and distributed on Sunday Sept. 25, 2022. Delivery will resume with the new Thursday publication on Thursday Oct. 6, 2022.
This change will enable the news department to advance upcoming events and news in the weekend following publication. It will also allow the staff to cover the weekend news before publication — without having to wait a full week to publish the stories.
As ever, for daily news in Rio Rancho, you can go to our growing web site for news and advertising. We have more than 100,000 users a month, more than 640,000 events and more than 200,000 views. Plus, you can listen to stories and other audio and see our videos of news stories and our video programming, local folks like Mayor Gregg Hull, Sports Editor Gary Herron, Executive Editor Garrison Wells and reporter Michaela Helean.
We plan to add other local video shows, including an evening with musicians (couple songs from area musicians recorded in our studio), a Rio Rancho has talent show once a month (or week, depends on how much talent we have), and some live programming. And more. We welcome your ideas.
Thanks
Garrison Wells
