Birrieria y Tacos de Alex Tijuana Style, a food truck known for serving some of the best best birria in Albuquerque, made its debut in Rio Rancho Thursday.
Birrieria y Tacos de Alex Tijuana Style has two locations in Albuquerque: a restaurant on Coors and a food truck on Fourth.
The Rio Rancho truck will be parked at the corner of Southern and Nicklaus daily at 9 a.m. until they sell out of food.
Birrieria y Tacos de Alex Tijuana Style has a menu that offers birria ramen and tacos, quesatacos, quesadillas, tacos, tortas, burritos and more. They also offer fish and shrimp tacos during Lent. The truck is cash only.
The lines were short, the service was fast and the portions were huge Thursday.
“I had the Plato de Birria,” Sarah Chavez said. “It was so good. Best in Rio Rancho.”
