The exhibit traces Evans’ journey after he moved to New Mexico from Chicago back in the 1970s, according to a press release.

According to the release, the exhibit includes examples of the architectural illustrations that helped support Evans’ early life in Placitas, as well as landscapes containing multiple-unit dwellings populated by a coterie of cows and other anthropomorphized beasts.

Most of the works in the exhibit can be purchased, with a portion of the sale price going to support the library, per the release. The Art Committee will also hold a public reception at the library on Feb. 11 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. to celebrate Evans.
