The Rio Rancho Rams pounded the Cibola Cougars 44-20 in Friday’s 6A state football quarterfinals game at RRHS.

Rio Rancho pulled ahead for good with 23 unanswered points in the second quarter.

Rio Rancho will face La Cueva in the 6A semifinals. La Cueva defeated Volcano Vista 35-21 in another 6A quarterfinals game on Friday.
