Honey Bear — named because shelter staff said she’s so sweet — is looking for a forever home. Courtesy photo.
Honey Bear is a 1.5-year-old female Lab/chow mix who was found abandoned at the Rail Runner station in Bernalillo.
Honey Bear is around 65 pounds but is a gentle dog who walks well on a leash, is very loyal and gets along well with other dogs her size. She would do best in a home with no small dogs, and it’s unknown if she gets along with cats.
She was scheduled to be spayed, microchipped and heartworm tested Friday. She is fully vaccinated.
Honey Bear’s adoption fee is $120.
To meet her or for more information, email [email protected] or call Sandoval County Animal Services at 505-867-7642. To adopt, fill out the application at sandovalcountynm.gov/departments/community-services/animal-welfare/ and send it to the email above.
