Billy Odel Makin

Billy was born Nov. 29, 1951, to Linford Odel Makin and Ethel Adina Cole, in Benton, Ark.
He died Sept. 17, 2020.
He received his Associate of Arts degree from Henderson County Junior College, in Athens, Texas.
He served our country for 15 years in the United States Air Force. He served during Operation Desert Shielded/Storm (August 1990-September 1992).
He was honorably discharged on Sept. 1, 1995. He received numerous awards and medals, including: Air Force National Defense Service Medal; Air Force Overseas Short Tour Ribbon with one oak-leaf cluster; Air Force Longevity Service Award ribbon with 2 oak-leaf clusters; Air Force Non-commissioned Officer Professional Military Education Graduate Ribbon; Air Force Training Ribbon; Air Force Security Specialist four years and two months; Air Force Outstanding Service and Support to the Wolfpack Consolidated Base Personnel Office January 1989 – January 1990, Kunsan Air Base, Korea; and Air Force Achievement Medal/Air Force Outstanding Unit Award.
Billy retired from the United States Postal Service after 32 years of service. Billy is survived by his son, James Makin of Rio Rancho, N.M.; brother, Ronnie Webb of Rio Rancho, N.M.; and sister, Renna Robles of Rio Rancho, N.M.
He was cremated.
