Aaron P. Fleming

Aaron P. Fleming, born Dec. 3, 1957, in Winona, Minn., passed away on Dec. 12, 2020, in Rio Rancho, N.M.
Aaron graduated from Rochelle Township High School in Rochelle, Ill. He received his Bachelor of Music Education degree from Illinois Wesleyan University, and his Master of Business Administration from University of Phoenix.
He met his wife of 31 years, Deborah Sahd Fleming, in a music graduate class at the University of New Mexico while working at Highland High School. Together they raised the joy of their lives: their son, Christopher.
Aaron was a beloved music teacher who inspired many. He was an enthusiastic and innovative volunteer with schools, state and local professional music and community organizations. Aaron taught music for 25 years at Northwestern Community Unit Schools, Highland High School, Cibola High School and Tony Hillerman Middle School before retiring in 2012.
Aaron is survived by his wife, Debbie; son, Christopher & wife Nicole; siblings Claire, Earl, Laura, Mignon, Tila and their spouses, children and grandchildren.
Due to COVID-19, a celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
