New Mexico reported its lowest daily COVID-19 case count since early August with 398 new cases on Tuesday, according the state Department of Health.

The state reported 340 cases back on Aug. 2.

Sandoval County added 48 new cases on Tuesday. ZIP code 87124 (Rio Rancho) had the eighth-highest case count by ZIP codes with 12 new cases on Tuesday.

The state also reported 27 new COVID-19 deaths on Tuesday, including two new COVID deaths in Sandoval County.

As of Tuesday, 351 people are hospitalized in New Mexico for COVID-19.
