Despite a recent decline, COVID-19 hospitalizations in New Mexico trended back upward Tuesday.
The state Department of Health reported Tuesday there are currently 55 people hospitalized in New Mexico for COVID-19, with four patients on ventilators.
NMDOH also reported 120 new COVID-19 cases (with a test positivity rate of about 3.1 percent) and 11 new COVID-19 deaths on Tuesday.
Latest COVID vaccination numbers
As of Tuesday, 84.1 percent of Sandoval County adults completed their primary COVID vaccination series.
Statewide, 78 percent of adults have completed their primary vaccination series as of Tuesday. Additionally, 46.6 percent of the state’s adults have received at least one booster dose.
As of Tuesday, 61.7 percent of New Mexico children ages 12 to 17 have completed their primary vaccination series. Also, 31.7 percent of New Mexico children ages five to 11 have completed their primary vaccination series.
