The latest COVID-19 case and hospitalization counts remain low.

The New Mexico Department of Health reported 124 new cases Friday, as well as 63 people hospitalized in the state for COVID-19. Of those new cases, the test positivity rate was about 2.1 percent. Eight of those hospitalized patients are on ventilators.

The state also reported nine new COVID-19 deaths on Friday.

Since the start of the pandemic, the cumulative number of cases is now at 518,941 as of Friday. The cumulative number of COVID-19 deaths is now at 7,360.
