The latest COVID-19 case count and test positivity rate is still going down in New Mexico.
The state Department of Health reported 264 new cases with a test positivity rate of 4.4 percent on Friday.
Sandoval County added 23 new cases on Friday. ZIP codes 87124 (southern Rio Rancho) and 87144 (northern Rio Rancho) were tied for the second-highest case count by ZIP code, with 10.
Of the 10 new COVID-19 deaths reported Friday, a male in their 80s from Sandoval County was among them. The individual was hospitalized and had underlying conditions.
Statewide, 148 people are hospitalized in New Mexico for COVID-19.
