New Mexicans continue to get vaccinated against COVID-19 at a steady rate amid the rising numbers in cases and COVID-related hospitalizations.
Nearly 33,000 New Mexico residents received doses of the COVID-19 vaccine over the previous two weeks, according to the state Department of Health’s COVID-19 vaccine data dashboard.
As of Tuesday, 84.7 percent of Sandoval County residents have completed their primary vaccination series. Additionally, 82.4 percent of Bernalillo County residents have completed their primary vaccination series.
Statewide, 93.7 percent of residents 65 and older have completed their primary vaccination series as of Tuesday. Of that age group, 74.1 percent have received a booster dose. For all adults 18 and up, 78.6 percent have completed their primary vaccination series, and 60.1 percent have received a booster dose.
For children ages 12 to 17, 61.1 percent of that age group has completed their primary vaccination series as of Tuesday, and 33.3 percent of that group has received a booster dose.
For children ages 5 to 11, 32.3 percent have completed their primary vaccination series. As of Tuesday, 359 kids in that age group have received a booster dose.
